Plot edits[edit]

Having just re-read this novel, I happened across the Wikipedia page while looking up something else. I've corrected a number of major errors in the Plot section; among them:

Mal arrives at Rose's compound separately (and after) the Church agents
No one "tracks" Rose to his base, least of all the Church agents (who are captured when they accidentally blow their cover); Mal goes there openly
The agents and Mal are totally unaware of each other until Rose has already started Kitten's torture
A considerable amount of time passes between when Rose arrives at the AAnn base and when the Vom escapes
Rose was not the brother of Chatham Kingsley (I have no idea how anyone could come up with that particular lunacy)
No one "recovers" the bloodhype from Rose; the Vom inadvertently consumes it along with the drug dealer

One thing I have not yet fixed is the use of "Kitty" as a nickname. No one refers to Lt. Kai-sung as "Kitty". She's called "soft angles", and Peot has a word-picture for her, but never does anyone call her "Kitty".

I'm a fan of Foster and I was pleasantly surprised to find so many pages about his work, but it'd be nice if people read the book before writing the plot summary. 2603:6080:1103:EA00:0:0:0:5 (talk) 00:15, 29 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
