Long list of fiddlers[edit]

There was a long list of bluegrass fiddlers on this page. There was a lot of duplication of a section of the page called List of fiddlers. I took away the duplicate entries. I think the rest of the names should be moved to that page as well, but I don't have the knowledge to put them in the right categories. If you do, please help out!

Instead of a list of all bluegrass fiddlers, I think what's needed is a few examples of fiddlers who are known for specific techniques - a great double-stopper, a really bluesy fiddler, a shuffle-bower, etc., to illustrate the style, with an explanation for each. —Anne Delong (talk) 04:16, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Since there was no response to my last comment, I have gone ahead and moved the list of bluegrass fiddlers to the Bluegrass section of List of fiddlers and left a redirecting sentence. —Anne Delong (talk) 18:07, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bluegrass Wikiproject[edit]

I am trying to gather interested editors of bluegrass related articles to make a Wikiproject to improve these pages. Would you believe that Kenny Baker's article is a stub? If you are interested, please leave a message at User talk:Anne Delong/Bluegrass Topics. To see what I've done so far, see User:Anne Delong/Bluegrass Topics. —Anne Delong (talk) 06:15, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Five-string fiddle[edit]

A lot of bluegrass fiddlers these days seem to play a 5-string instrument that's closer in size to a viola than a violin. I've seen this in videos with Darol Anger, Brittany Haas, etc., but I don't have a source that would allow me to introduce this information into the article in a proper way. Can anyone help with this? -- Eleuther (talk) 08:47, 30 April 2017 (UTC).[reply]
