mining co-operatives[edit]

It should be noted that the "co-operatives" in question are not workers' co-operatives as this is normally understood but more a product of neoliberalism, privatization and contracting-out. It is not surprising therefore that these "co-operatives" take conservative positions against trade unions and progressive politicians.
