Cause[edit]

It was reported on the BBC Radio 4 News yesterday (10 April 09) that the preliminary investigation had found evidence of a 'catastrophic' failure of the main gearbox, causing/allowing the rotor blades to contact the tail boom, which then detached. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.112.201.163 (talk) 08:31, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
