This article smells like G11 (advertisement) to me and needs a rewrite to be encyclopedic. However, my CSD template was removed as soon as I put it on the page. Why? Does Bonjela have some sort of cultural significance or something? --Tinctorius 08:24, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not to the levels of Tylenol or other equally popular brands, but yes, it does. The article is in need of a little rewrite, but the current {{ad}} tag suffices to identify the current problems. In my opinion, it doesn't cut as a clear G11 - you may however want to to try AfD instead. Regards, Phaedriel - 10:20, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In the UK it's pretty much the standard product, and well-known due to its lovely taste. 135.196.2.145 (talk) 14:35, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Initial sting

[edit]

Would the initial sting produced when using Bonjela be worth noting in the main article? Especially since one of the things you're talking about is pain-relief and it may mislead people. —Preceding unsigned comment added by BlueStream (talkcontribs) 12:56, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Are you sure you're thinking of bonjela and not some other mouth-ulcer medicine? Bonjela is known as being very mild, so that you can even use it in small doses for teething babies- other mouth ulcer things (like Frador) list on the packaging that you'll experience "Transient smarting"(ie:burning agony) but Bonjela doesn't sting at all- the only thing that might hurt is the fact that you have to touch the sore area to apply it?Himynameishelen (talk) 15:05, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
seems to sting a bit to me. --87.127.117.246 (talk) 22:51, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The original bonjela does sting for about a second when you put it on the ulcer, but there is a 'bonjela cool' that I saw in Boots, that is meant to be more soothing and not have the initial sting. Does anyone know anymore about this, or why it does/not sting? Also, a quick search turned this Netdoctor page, which at a glance seems very informative. I don't have the time now to incorporate info from it, so I put it here for others to do, or even me to do it later, if I remember! 86.29.76.37 (talk) 13:27, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I've only ever used Bonjela cool, so that's probably why I wouldn't know- however to be honest, it doesn't really seem that important a fact- I'd say feel free to put it in if you feel it's relevant though.Himynameishelen (talk) 21:15, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, you mean that unholy agony that lasts for about three seconds? Yeah, might be worth mentioning I think. 93.107.72.121 (talk) 15:01, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Teething

[edit]

Why is teething in the "beyond intended usage" sentence, when the packet in the photo clearly says 'for teething' on it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 135.196.2.145 (talk) 11:35, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
