How to improve the article

[edit]

I do realize that this article can be considered a manual as how to create a bottle trap, but that is not what I ment to do. I merely tried to explain all facts regarding such a trap, keeping some other articles on insect trapping as a guidance. Can someone please tell me how to improve the article? I already had a positive review of the article on my talk page after creating it on my user page. Regarding pictures, I'm already working on that. Thanks. I am not as sure as some other editors might be that this article reads like a how-to manual. Wikipedia's other articles on various kinds of traps and trapping are rather similar. However, you may want to try to find more references that support all the smaller facts you offer, so this info does not appear to be original research, which is against Wikipedia policy. Just now I created links to this article from several other articles, and so I removed the "orphan" tag. Invertzoo (talk) 21:46, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: moved. Consensus that this trap is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for the term "bottle trap"; the proposed title was also noted as more WP:CONCISE. (closed by non-admin page mover) ModernDayTrilobite (talkcontribs) 16:26, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bottle trap for insectsBottle trap – This more WP:CONCISE term currently redirects here. The content at the currently disambiguated articles is minimal: fish trap#Bottle trap is a paragraph, trap (plumbing) didn't mention bottle traps at all until I added a diagram of one just now.
