Lack of Affiliates to Cater to Blacks

[edit]

How can this network cater to blacks when it does not even have affiliates in Chicago, Atlanta, New York, or New Jersey? This should be mentioned in the article.

They do have partial owned affiliates in these markets, including their home base in Atlanta (WATL). I believe they could expand to the Los Angeles area market, but KCAL and KCOP are potentials about to accept a part-time affiliation with the Bounce TV Network, or have a new TV station instead. KCAL is owned by deYoung Communications and KCOP formerly UPN had good TV ratings with African-Americans before, plus KCAL was one of the few TV stations owned by an African-American. Bounce TV depends on large Black areas TV markets, while L.A. is home to one of the largest Black communities in the country, though have much more Latinos and Asians known for ethnic TV networks and stations in Spanish or caters to various Asian ethnonational groups. Plus the Jewish Life Network a religious-cultural cable channel for American Jews, the Bridges TV for Muslim Americans from an Islamic perspective, and Native News Network for American Indians devoted to better programming for their people. Bounce TV may have a better POV of Black culture than BET and hopes to compete well with TVOne. + 71.102.3.122 (talk) 14:05, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Bounce TVBounce (TV network) – Despite the website calling the network "Bounce TV", I don't believe that the word "TV" is part of the actual name. Billboard Man (talk) 14:02, 21 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Station change.

[edit]

KDMK-LD 48 will not launch in Lafayette Louisiana, it was not granted approval. The new station is K18JF-D. I've updated everything on the article but I can't change the main heading to the correct station... Rajuncajun94 (talk) 20:42, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Update Picture Format

[edit]

I made this same discussion on the Grit Talk page: Katz recently transitioned Bounce, Grit, Escape, and Laff to 1080i, 16:9 FTA on satellite. Most affiliates probably still retransmit in 480i. How should the picture format be updated to reflect this? Is it possible to list the origination resolution as 1080i and add a note that affiliates may still retransmit in 480i?
