Demande de mise à jour de la page Bountysource

[edit]

Hello,

I am contacting you regarding the information on the Bountysource Wikipedia page.

I am unable to update the logo. Can you update it? https://bountysource.com here is the link to the Bountysource website. I can send you the new logo by e-mail.

Also, two articles linked to this page contain erroneous content. I would like them to be removed. Reference n°7 : https://blog.elementary.io/goodbye-bountysource-hello-github-sponsors/ Reference n°10: https://github.com/bountysource/core/issues/1539

Regards,

The Bountysource team

References

Hello @Nicolas:. Obviously if references are factually incorrect then they should be removed. Can you say what is wrong with them, and why we should not regard them as reliable? It would obviously not be helpful to start removing any and every bit of bad publicity about any business or other organisation purely on the basis that someone working for that business or organisation doesn't like it being there, so we do need a reason. Hello @JBW,
The statement is incorrect. The previous owner of the company made the changes to Bountysource term of uses therefore it’s factually wrong to affirm that The Blockchain Group “made and withdrew controversial changes to the term of uses”.
Therefore, I ask you to dissociate the actions made by CanYa from those made by The Blockchain Group.
To be factually correct the article [9] cannot be used as a reference because it refers to an era preceding the acquisition of The Blockchain Group.
Does it clarify the situation @JBWJBW?

I see that the information in the article did not agree with what the cited references said, so I have changed it so that it does agree. JBW (talk) 08:48, 14 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Nicolas at Bountysource: I have reconsidered this, and decided that it concerns one minor incident in the history of Bountysource, which is really not significant enough for inclusion. The cited sources are also not very good. I shall therefore remove the material. Thanks for raising the matter. JBW (talk) 11:01, 14 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Great, thank you very much @JBW.
Is it possible for you to put Bountysource's logo on the Wikipedia page please? Nicolas at Bountysource (talk) 09:31, 18 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Nicolas at Bountysource: Yes, I should be able to do that for you. What exactly do you think I should put there? this image? or just the circular bit without the hexagons? or the whole thing with the name "Bountysource" in the middle? Or something else. I would just go for the circular bit, for maximum visual impact, but let me know what you think. JBW (talk) 13:18, 18 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @JBW
We would like you to put the name "Bountysource" + the circular part, without the hexagons please ([1]). The same way as on our website (https://bountysource.com)
