Wickets

[edit]

Do they bowl at one wicket or three ? Can the article be specific on this ? Tintin (talk) 08:54, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My understanding is that they bowl at an unguarded wicket, that is three stumps plus bails. -- ALoan (Talk) 11:10, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Better Picture

[edit]

As pretty as the picture is, could we have photo Graemec2 12:05, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you can find one with acceptable copyright status, please add it. -- ALoan (Talk) 12:16, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's pathetic. A drawing of a photo is ridiculously uncyclopeadic. You jerk offs are changing wikipedia into a joke.

I think it's a good idea that just needs to be nurtured. Reminiscent of clean room design. The drawings just need to be better. MrAngy 00:47, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Holy moley, that is poor, it's like something out of South Park. It's totally unnecessary - if somebody is confused as to the layout of a cricket pitch, they can look in the cricket article. A photo would be great, but until we have one the article looks infinitely better with no image at all. — sjorford++ 13:43, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

misses

[edit]

Can someone add a note to explain why professional cricketers miss completely so often in bowl outs but can place the ball so well when bowling normally? How hard can it be to hit an unguarded wicket as a professional bowler? Turkeyphant 15:25, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
