As a newcomer to Boxborough, I find that the residents much prefer the more effete "Boxborough" rather than the plebian and slighly working-class "Boxboro". Not surprising given the many fine rural homes, high household income and high proportion of academia in the town. Boxborough vs. Boxboro[edit]

"is, in fact, Boxborough, and it is a rather touchy subject for its residents." -- I've only lived in Boxborough for four years or so, but have never been aware of people taking preference of the official title. I, personally, find times for each to truly shine. Thoughts, Opinions? Jameson 18:05, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I grew up there and lived there for about 20 years and it was indeed a slightly touchy issue. Enough to be encyclopedia, maybe not, but yeah people would argue about it. Jessamyn (talk) 22:04, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I personally don't care either way people use it and I grew up there. I think it should be mentioned because a lot of people who live in Boxborough/Boxboro care. It is part of the town, you know, kind of like a legacy; something that should be mentioned. Esk3 (talk) 01:33, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Minutemen[edit]

The article says, "On April 19, 1775, 21 men from Boxborough met at the Boaz Brown house on Hill road before marching with the companies of Littleton, Stow, Acton, Concord, and Harvard to the Battles of Lexington and Concord." This is scrambled history. The men from Boxborough, and the other towns lists, never marched to the battle of Lexington. Some of them went to the battle of Concord, but the battle of Lexington did not include any militia or minutmen from Boxborough (or any other town).
