Recent changes

[edit]

I reverted recent edits my user 85.181.123.177 because of the following reasons:

  1. U.S. album sales: The Billboard source is more current than the People magazine source.
  2. Album certifications: There's absolutely no reason to remove infortmation on the certification by the BPI or CRIA.
  3. Divas Live 99: This album - once again - is not part of the official Brandy chronology. Neither her own sites lists it nor has it been released on her own (former) label. It's a live compilation featuring her vocals - not one of her album.
  4. Singles reomval: There's abolutely no reason to remove singles such as "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" or "Angel in Disguise".
  5. "Another Day in Paradise": This song was not recorded for Full Moon but for the Urban Renewal album, and thus, it's not part of the Full Moon singles chronology. Also, the song is only featured as a bonus track on the European album version, and thus, not considered part of the album everywhere.
  6. "He Is": The song has been confirmed as a single - with sources! It's not a promotional song or anything similar!
  7. "Let It Go": This is a song by Brandy's younger brother. Brandy herself is neither featured on the official album credits nor on the singles credits.
  8. "Stunt 101": One again, Brandy herself is neither featured on the official album credits nor on the singles credits. She only makes a cameo apperance in the official music video.
  9. "Quickly": This track was recorded for the latest John Legend album, and though it was rumored to be released as single, no release date or video shooting has been announced yet.

Thank you. - Noboyo

Beggin & Pleading Billboard hot 100 #176  ??????? very strange

[edit]

Billboard measures only singles from # 1 to # 100 and sometimes from 101-125 (bubbling under Hot 100)

there is not a chart measurement which counts and measures singles positions under 125

where do you have the #176 POSITION

this is completely wrong — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.247.244.143 (talk) 20:00, 26 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

2000s to 1990s

[edit]

Brandy was most definitely a 90s star, debuted in the the early to mid 90s and nearly 90% of her album sales from from the 90s, the remaining (less than) 10% come from the 2000s, 2010s and 2020s combined.

If we’re always tagging Britney Spears as a 90s star because she debuted in 1999 (yet reached her peak in the early to mid 2000s) then Brandy should definitely not be tagged as a 2000s star, she was not a prominent figure in pop culture. Ohtill (talk) 16:52, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 3 March 2024

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: not moved. Consensus that, while the singer's main article is at Brandy Norwood, the usage of her last name in that title is for disambiguation purposes – i.e., one of the exceptions described in WP:CONSISTENT. For this reason, the discussion resulted in a consensus that this article should not include her last name. Eww no. why? She is the only professional singer called Brandy .... Reject! Thurlow0391 (talk) 12:23, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Why? Because the main article is at Brandy Norwood; that's what I already told you. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 17:40, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Unlike categories, article titles are not required to use the full disambiguation in this way. For example:
Blondie (band)
Blondie discography
but Category:Blondie (band) albums. 162 etc. (talk) 22:39, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
