Hamlet?[edit]

I have just had a look at Brant Lake on Google StreetView, and it seems clear to me that it has a post office, several businesses, a community centre and at least two churches. By most definitions, Brant Lake is thus definitely not a "hamlet", but rather a village. Is "hamlet" being used in an official or legal sense here? If so, it should be linked to the relevant article.
