IP addition to the "notability" template
[edit]An IP wrote the following text in the "Notability" template in this edit: "Is a short lived Nintendo fan comic really notable? Consider that the sources aren't really commenting on the webcomic itself, more just reposting strips from the comic. The comic itself doesn't appear to truly have left a major impact or to have had much standing power, reports on it in the sources are merely stating that it existed. It's the equivalent of the NY Times taking a quote from Wikipedia about Wikipedia and using that quoted quote as a source on the Wikipedia page for Wikipedia - it uses a third party source to appear as if there is something actually being said for the implication of notability, rather than the actualization of notability. Ultimately this is a wikipedia page for a minor fan work, and in many ways it feels more like a wikipedia page for the creator of the webcomic, who also isn't especially notable himself. Why is there a section about it having kickstarter campaigns for book collections and an unrelated video game? This is rather tangential and not particularly relevant to the comic's existence. In all, this page feels like an attempt by fans of a webcomic to "legitimize" a webcomic via wikipedia, rather than it getting a page for being impactful and truly noteworthy." ~Mable (chat) 09:24, 21 December 2016 (UTC)
