A lot of misunderstood and incorrect info

[edit]

This article has a lot of incorrect info.

For example the Breda mod 31 fires the 13,2x99 mm cartridge and not the 13,2x96. The 13,2x96 was developed in 1935 for several reasons. But the italians already adopted the 13,2x99 variant in 1931.

Also the Breda mod 31 was only used by the Italians and not by countries such as Greece, Spain, Sweden and Turkey. Greece, Spain and Turkey used the Hotchkiss m/1929 firing the 13,2x96 cartridge. Sweden didnt use either the Hotchkiss or the Breda. Sweden used the 13,2x99 mm FN Browning M.1939 (called akan m/39 in sweden) airplane cannon/hmg. Sweden did buy 13,2x99 ammunition from the Italiens though but only for use in their akan m/39.

This Russian forum explains the cartridges and the guns using them fairly well. https://reibert.info/threads/13-2x99-i-13-2x96-hotchkiss.315098/--Blockhaj (talk) 20:06, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
