I edited the term "leading expert". In my day job as a newspaper editor I receive press releases claiming that such-and-such company are the "leading" firm in their field. In my opinion, 'PR puff' terms do not belong in a biography.92.10.76.46 (talk) 23:46, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reference to wind power, Autonomous House, Southwell.

[edit]

I am unaware of any wind power facility in place at the "New Autonomous House". Perhaps this point could either be clarified or removed?

Scientifically Dubious?

[edit]

The reference states:

... Mind-bending stuff, and more than a little scientifically dubious ("I wouldn't have thought a dog had anywhere near as high a carbon footprint as a car," says John Buckey, managing director of carbonfootprint.com)."

So, someone running a website called Carbonfootprint is surprised over the result; is that sufficient to call a scientific study dubious? 00prometheus (talk) 23:09, 16 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The Wikipedia article currently says the conclusions are "debateable", which seems a fair comment. I agree "dubious" it a stronger, more negative word. Judging by the conclusion of the opinion piece ("cats are far tastier") the 'news' article seems slightly tongue-in-cheek anyway. Sionk (talk) 14:30, 17 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
