Section headings

[edit]

This article has headings by club, this is confusing as it includes rep career, many sports articles separate rep career in a distinct section. Year periods are acceptable. Either way not a good idea to mix rep career under club headings. LibStar (talk) 09:39, 11 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

if club headings are to stay, the rep career should be in a distinct section. LibStar (talk) 09:42, 11 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Why would you want to ruin the continuous flow of the article by separating rep footy? That makes absolutely no sense. When you're reading about what was happening with Tate in 2000 why on earth should you have to go to another part of the article to see what rep footy he played that year? You're also perfectly happy for it to remain divided by club as it currently is, except rather than naming the sections that way, you just want to name them after the years he was at the club in place of the club's name, so that it's just seemingly arbitrary sets of numbers. What's the thinking behind that?--Gibson Flying V (talk) 09:46, 11 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

because the individual sections are named by club . Steve Matai and Braith Anasta splits by rep career. However I agree this is inconsistent across league player articles. LibStar (talk) 09:58, 11 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well they shouldn't be. I find it impossible to believe that anyone would want to read exclusively about a period of a player's club career with no interest at all in whether, for instance, they played Origin at that time.--Gibson Flying V (talk) 10:06, 11 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
ok, just hope there is some consistency in format. Perhaps the Anasta and matai articles need to be amended? LibStar (talk) 10:14, 11 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
