Brian L. FalknerBrian Falkner – Not the common name of the subject. It is over-precise. I am Brian Falkner and my middle initial has never been used as part of my name on any of my novels. Brian Falkner (talk) 23:10, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. WorldCat confirms what the nominator says here and here. Perhaps the initial was put in to the disambiguate this subject from Northern Irish Prime Minister Brian Faulkner. But the prime minister's name is spelled differently, so I don't know why anyone would think disambiguation was necessary. Colin Gerhard (talk) 06:32, 9 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. It appears that the redirect Brian Falkner was created in 2007 as a plausible misspelling of the PM. When this article was created in 2014, the middle initial was probably added to avoid conflict with the pre-existing redirect. It should have been written over the redirect instead. I don't see anything controversial about this proposal, since the names are indeed spelled differently. Station1 (talk) 07:29, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
