Source for American production contributions

Hello, IP 160.178.161.254. I was wondering if you might elaborate on your edit summary of "Stop it, this is ridiculous." before adding the US to the country list, and "American" into the lead. The reason that those were not included before is that the production companies listed are Australian. A24 is an American company, but from the sources that I have seen, they are only listed as the company that will distribute the film. They often distribute films that they did not produce themselves. This seems similar to Netflix distributing Squid Game or Money Heist; that doesn't make South Korean or Spanish productions now American. For now, I have only tagged these as needing a citation. With no sources, I have removed/commented out these claims. I just commented out one so that reference to this talk page discussion can be seen in the future if needed. We can always restore the claims if future sourcing allows. -2pou (talk) 17:17, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
