This is a good entry. Maybe just link to Commodus' wikipedia entry, refer to which tribes the Romans were fighting when Hadrian's defenses broke down if possible, and maybe add a map or picture to specify exactly which part of Britain the article refers to. NGupta07 21:46, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think this is a very solid article. I agree with the previous post that you need to add some more wiki-links, especially for the emperors Commodus and Diocletian. Also, the first sentence of the "Establishment" sentence is a little vague. You might want to expand on the "power struggle" on the continent that was distracting the Roman legions in Britain. You also might want to elaborate on why Severus wanted to reduce the size of the armies under the control of individual Roman governors.24.12.189.96 22:57, 14 May 2007 (UTC)Dan Frydman[reply]

I liked this article. It read very smoothly. I have no real complaints. Possibly add more links to other wikipedia articles and a map. Jing Yuan Liu 05:18, 16 May 2007 (UTC) Jing Yuan Liu[reply]

Reorganization in 293 or 296?

[edit]

"This subdivision of Britannia lasted throughout the Severan dynasty until the reorganisation of the empire under Diocletian in 296."

"In 296, the emperor Diocletian conducted a major reorganisation of the empire."

However, the table shown below these statements gives 293 as the date of Diocletian's reorganization.

Can anyone clarify? -- Picapica (talk) 19:08, 19 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reorganization as a separate heading

[edit]

This is well written! However, it seems somewhat disproportionate to mention the organization of the province under Septimius Severus and then to later, in a different paragraph, continue the same discussion. It might be better to blend the second paragraph in the intro with the 'Reorganization' tab. However, I understand separating the two because the 'Reorganization' is essentially the end of 'Britannia inferior'. Maybe moving the paragraph from the separate 'Reorganization' heading to beneath the second intro paragraph would give this article a better flow.
