Central section[edit]

The central section of this article still seems to be (or read like) a group constitution or charter. A reference to a third-party source would really help. The article itself gives the impression that the BMSD's creation generated a few stories, but that its subsequent activities have not. Additional third-party sources from more recent years will thus strengthen the article. I will search too, of course. Thanks for any help in advance. @GorgeCustersSabre: "It is believed that the use of low-resolution images on the English-language Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation, of logos for certain uses involving identification and critical commentary may qualify as fair use under the Copyright law of the United States." Not sure how this particular organization's logo is uniquely situated? Faceless Enemy (talk) 00:21, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

“It is believed ... for certain uses ... may ...” This won’t do. Sorry. George Custer's Sabre (talk) 05:11, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@GorgeCustersSabre: Go propose the deletion of the file then. Faceless Enemy (talk) 14:18, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Dear talk, yes I’ll do that too. Thanks. All good wishes, George Custer's Sabre (talk) 14:34, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@GorgeCustersSabre: In the meantime it should be back in the article. Otherwise it's going to be in a catch-22. Its fair use rationale is to serve as the primary means of visual identification at the top of the article dedicated to the entity in question. Faceless Enemy (talk) 15:20, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, my friend, if we aren’t certain it’s better to err on the side of caution. I see this as analogous to the advice on citations given in WP:BURDEN. The burden is on you to establish the copyright with certainly. If you can’t you shouldn’t add it again. Please let me know your thoughts. All good wishes, George Custer's Sabre (talk) 15:28, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, George Custer's Sabre, but you are wrong. The whole point of our fair use rules depends on the use of an image in an article, so removing it from the article prejudges any deletion discussion. Phil Bridger (talk) 15:41, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again. Ok. That’s two opinions against mine. I’ll defer to the greater number. I’m not dogmatic. I edit in the same good faith as you do. All good wishes, George Custer's Sabre (talk) 15:46, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
