There's nothing urban about the campus, it's not in what could be considered an urban area at all. I changed this on the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.225.225.111 (talk) 16:50, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Seems odd that nearly all of this article is about the residences! Surely more could be added? Tyronen 21:29, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

Be bold! - I'm sure you could add lots of stuff to the article. Andy Saunders 01:58, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I came to the talk page wondering the same thing...

More than Residence

That would be because I don't know much about Brock's history, or else I'd write that too. I'm also not sure how to write about the school's facilities without being so basic as to bullet-point.

General Brock The school keeps changing history in saying that Canada won the War of 1812. Clearly academic integrity is a double standard between faculty and students. The war ended in a stalemate in which both sides agreed to return to their respective pre war situation as stated in the Treaty of Ghent. Canada was not a country in 1812, it was a province in the British empire called Upper Canada. It was impossible for Canada to have an army due to this, Canadian militias were subject to Britain when raised. General Brock definetly did not yell latin at his uneducated, poor and beleaguered militia but possibly could have said it in the context of "Push on, brave York volunteers!". —Preceding unsigned comment added by Boagart 303 (talkcontribs) 01:01, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

According to the school's website,[1] he did say the Latin. However, that is a PR-ish site, does not seem like a good WP:RS for an historical factual statement of what he actually said. However, phrased as "reported to have said" in the context of the school's claimed origin of the motto, I think it can stand. WP:SELFPUB makes sense for "what was X thinking when X did Y?". Just need to keep it very clear that this is not anything close to a statement about what he actually did say. Sir Isaac Brock#Death at Queenston Heights gives conflicting final words, and even good evidence that he didn't have any at all. DMacks (talk) 15:58, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

Photos

These photos are all very old. Lots of development has happened on campus in the last 5 years. Can someone upload more recent pics? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.75.179.145 (talk) 15:18, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Misleading Co-op placement rate

As a current BAcc co-op student at Brock University I can testify that brock certainly does NOT boast a 100% co-op placement rate. In my program alone, the co-op placement rate has dwindled in recent years and currently stands at a mere 50%. This paragraph is extremely misleading and provides no evidence to corroborate its assertion so I humbly suggest that it be rectified as soon as possible with more recent and accurate figures.

Ranking and Reputation

I would recommend establishing a Ranking and Reputation section, you can use {{Canadian university rankings}}. FYI, it ranks as #15 for comprehensive universities by Maclean's in 2011. --Natural RX 22:22, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Proposed merge with James A Gibson Library

Library lacks notability for its own article, should be merged with main university article RA0808 talkcontribs 15:51, 13 September 2016 (UTC)
