[edit]

The latest research suggests a link between both pure cocoa chocolate & commercial bread and incidences acne. It is interesting to note that both are higher than most food in bromine. Ancient bread used iodine instead, but now they use a lot of bromine. And lower-bromine non-pure sweetened conventional chocolate bars have not been shown to significantly cause acne in actual studies. Very weird unexpected connection. Add to that how iodine is displaced by bromine in the body (bromine is a treatment for iodine poisoning), and I'm wondering if too much bromine, not enough iodine, or both (the first usually accompanies the second) might contribute to the condition. -Benjamin "Reticuli" Goulart 66.178.144.68 (talk) 07:42, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
