Just to explain that i have removed some of the wording that was not neutral POV and that had attracted tags requiring citations. Also i have removed the Ofsted info as it was 9 years out of date and needs maintaining if included in future. This is a potentially interesting place and could do with some more verified input.Rimmer1993 (talk) 23:16, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Village

[edit]

Brompton is a village with a town council that refers to it as a village. See http://bromptontowncouncil.gov.uk/visitor-information-page/. It has a village green and a village hall not a town centre. Esemgee (talk) 07:20, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I did spot that, but I think they are using an old copy of our article for that page. Thus cannot be used as a reliable source. Keith D (talk) 20:34, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think the language the Town Council uses in the "About the council" part of http://bromptontowncouncil.gov.uk/town-council-page/, which is certainly not copied from Wikipedia, shows that they call it a village. PamD 12:22, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
