Label source[edit]

My source for the black mountain label is http://www.travelenvoy.com/wine/CentralValley/Bronco-Wine-Company.htm.

230 000 liters is not near 61 million gallons

61 million GALLONS translates to 244,000 million QUARTS, or 750cc wine bottles —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.181.166.104 (talk) 04:34, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

List of brands[edit]

I have restored the list of brands that were deleted on WP:WINEGUIDE grounds. I don't see how that guideline as applicable. It is appropriate and encyclopedic to list the brand names maintained by a company, in an article about that company. ~Amatulić (talk) 17:42, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. Notice that E & J Gallo Winery has a similar list and it's pretty common to list brands under a corporate umbrella like Coca-Cola and Kraft Foods. Rickterp (talk) 04:58, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The Gallo article needs massive clean up and is probably not the best example to be follow. I will also note that this brand listing is not even sourced to a reliable source which could lend some encyclopedic relevance if independent third party sources are talking about the relationship between these brand and Bronco. Otherwise it just a spam, advert listing of which Bronco wines that you can buy. Wikipedia is an encyclopedic, not a wineguide listing of wine brands available for sale. We need some sourcing and demonstration of encyclopedic relevance. AgneCheese/Wine 05:10, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
A source for many of those brands is given right at the top of this page, in the first comment. I have also added another source; this is pretty easy to find. I fail to see how one could call an encyclopedic list "spam". There is no promotion involved. Just as you consider it a list of which Bronco wines you can buy, you can also consider it a list of which brands to avoid, depending on your personal views of the company. ~Amatulić (talk) 18:15, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment comment[edit]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Bronco Wine Company/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

There are a few wines on the that long list of Bronco-owned labels that aren't owned by them I believe:

Rabbit Ridge http://www.rabbitridgewinery.com/ourpeople.html

Red Truck - used to be Cline but now someone else, not Bronco I think http://www.redtruckwine.com/about/winery.asp

going to delete those 2 from the list...

Contradiction in the article[edit]

Does the company own 35,000 acres of vineyards or 45,000 acres? The article gives both figures. MelanieN (talk) 17:52, 6 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
