Perth - City?[edit]

You claim Perth is a former city. Perth is still a city.

No, Perth is a former city. The Scottish Parliament approved list of cities is:
It is explained here, at section 1.2.2 "Wider Reach: the City and Region". A direct quote:
"Towns such as Perth and Elgin commonly use the title of 'city' as a survival from earlier history."

Quite right, Perth always was a city, and it was completely unconstitutional to strip it of its city status. Likewise, its recent redesignation as a city by the British state is meaningless.--MacRusgail (talk) 14:50, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
