It says he scored his first Bolton goal against Everton, and also against Man United, hence the self-contradictory tag. 80.5.116.72 13:22, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Contradiction?

[edit]

Hi. I have researched this at soccerbase.com, and have removed the following sentence, as it is wholly incorrect. "His performances excelled, however, as he scored his first Bolton goal against Manchester United on February 22." This referred to the year 2002.

Bolton did not play Manchester United on 22nd Feb. 2002. In 2001-2002, Bolton played Manchester United away on 20th. Oct. 2001, winning 2-1, and played Manchester United at home on 29th. Jan. 2002, losing 4-0. Look at Choose> Bolton 2001/2002 results and fixtures for confirmation.

His first goal for Bolton was versus Everton, away, on 1st. Apr. 2002. Look at Player ID 9051: Choose> Games played in 2001/2002 for confirmation.

I have tidied up the source and removed the 'contradict' tag. Thanks. Refsworldlee(chew-fat)(eds) 23:26, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
