I don't understand why a very small article about a notable scholar in Translation science should be eliminated in English when wikipedia admits is in other languages. --Comptrad (talk) 12:40, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Each Wikipedia has its own guidelines. For English Wikipedia, the guidelines for creative professionals are at WP:CREATIVE. You should take a look at those guidelines and then cite some reliable sources that support claims of notability. At the moment the references are, IMHO, not sufficient. To contest the deletion just remove the PROD notice at the top of the article.
