I believe it is correct that his first language was Welsh, but can anyone confirm this for a fact? As opposed to being a fluent speaker, I mean. Flapdragon 16:16, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. It is true. He still lives in North Wales, and the whole of his family are first language Welsh speakers. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ynysderw (talk • contribs) , at 16:11, 8 February 2006.

If he is Welsh and comes from where he does and he speaks Welsh he will have learned it from his parents so you can take it for granted that he speaks it as a first language. Also I have removed the reference to him being Jewish. This sounds rather odd to me. It was inserted by an individual using an IP address and is not supported by any information I can find. I suspect it is subtle vandalism but if anyone can substantiate it we can put it back in. Neilj (talk) 11:16, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

List of Operatic Repertoire[edit]

I got this list from his agents' website (ref given). However the dates are from me trawling the web: not ideal. We could do with a list of every production he's ever been in ... almost-instinct 18:16, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the claim of a "complete list" as I can think of a few roles missing. I know he was in a production of The Merry Widow opposite Cheryl Studer sometime in the early 1990s which was recorded.Nrswanson (talk) 20:53, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Please cite reference that this was a production and not just a recording. Currently tempted to trust Harlequin agency to know what their client has sung. What are the other roles missing that you can think of? almost-instinct 21:34, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If you want to add a section on recordings then the same website provides a list almost-instinct 22:01, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Discography[edit]

One would be useful here, since, in addition to classical, he has recordings in Welsh, and in a lighter idiom. Varlaam (talk) 17:30, 6 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tosca: live 3-night performance from Rome for BBC, with Gheorghiu and Alagna. Date please, if anyone knows it? I can find no reference to it on Google or in Bryan’s page in Wikipedia.[edit]

It seems strange that this event - each act taking place on successive evenings, in the actual locations described by Puccini (which would have required dispensation for filming in the actual church (Act 1), and the Palazzo Farnese (Act 2) - as it is the French Embassy in reality) - is not mentioned when Googled in general, or here. 2A00:23C4:88B0:601:1118:C64C:32E:155B (talk) 03:55, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
