This had a copyright violation. I changed some words from the source originally, but will rewrite in my own words completely shortly. Tazdeviloo7 (talk) 21:46, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because I have rewritten the article in my own words completely. Originally, I just changed some words around and I will not make the mistake again. --Tazdeviloo7 (talk) 21:58, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Tazdeviloo7, I removed the speedy, the copyvio seems to have been dealt with (be careful about that on WP). If someone wants to start a WP:AFD they can, but then there will be time for discussion, and you got the Smithsonian on your side. I suggest you WP:MOVE the article to Bud (dog) since that one is "free" and a slightly better WP:TITLE. See examples at Category:Individual dogs. Btw, I note that Commons [1] call him a pit bull, but Commons is WP:USERG. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 09:07, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Also also, while we mustn't copypaste from sources, on WP it's important not to add stuff that's not in them, see WP:V. You wrote "currently displayed at the Smithsonian Institute", but the source you used says "Currently not on view". The Smithsonian has a lot of stuff in storage. Does Standard Catalog of American Cars say anything about Bud? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 20:25, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You still have time to try a WP:DYK is you want. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 15:50, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The dog is notable. Atsme 💬 📧 15:54, 25 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Notability tag[edit]

@Alexandermcnabb, which sources in the article do you consider not "reliable secondary sources that are independent of the topic and provide significant coverage of it beyond a mere trivial mention"? IMO, WP:GNG is clearly met per [1][2][3][4]

I removed the tag - it's ridiculous. Atsme 💬 📧 18:36, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
