Talk:Buhera District
The message above has many incorrect assertions e.g. Buhera is not a village, but it is a district in Manicaland province. Secondly Buhera is not wholy under chief Nyashanu. Historically Buhera was divided between two Chieftainships, Makumbe (OF the Vanjanja tribe) in the North with Mugwenhi and Chitsunge as his subchiefs, Buhera south fell under Nyashanu (of the Vahera tribe). Buhera was a corrupted term for Uhera meaning the land of the Hera. Buhera is made up of two political constituents (Buhera North and Buhera South) each consisting of 16 wards. It is not true that there is cattle ranching in Buhera since Buhera has no farms. People in Buhera have very few herd of cattle per family for domestic use only. Other crops widely grown are mhunga (millet) and rukweza also known as zviyo (rapoko). The district is generally very poor and has very few influential people such as Morgan Tsvangirai (MDC) from Nerutanga Village. The highest mountain in Buhera is Mharabwe followed by Gombe which is the largest mountain in the area. Other hill ranges include Marovanyati, Mharabwe, Sanzunye and Gwiranenzara. Another point of correction is there is no school called Dzapasi in Buhera. If the original writer contests this let them let us where this school is situated.
Language: the people of Buhera north generally speak Chinjanja, a Zezuru sub-dialect while those from Nyashanu speak (Chitonga as they call it) but rather Chindau or Chibocha to other hearers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mangwanani (talk • contribs) 19:18, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
Regarding the lines: "Intellectualls like Zvikomborero Matenga Wesleyan'13 also hail from this area.Matenga is geared to take this place to another level technologically through his study of computer science a field in which he is excelling in."
Who is this person? A Google search yields nothing substantial and the writing style also leads me to believe it was added in by a random user representing that person. Deleted it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.128.218.134 (talk) 12:21, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
