About the merger..

[edit]

Wei, I don't think we need to do merger with the monorail station article, the MRT won't be interchangeable with the monorail (huge bummer) and they'll stay separate stations. [1] Separate stations, separate articles, unless if we could do merge them but do it based on sections. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fazley01 (talkcontribs) 07:08, 14 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The MRT station and monorail station SHOULD be split

Before I continue, let me say this; when you want to be bold, you gotta know exactly what you're doing with the facts, and secondly, it would be best as well if you discuss with the person (aka me, Fazley01) who split the page (like this one) recently.

The reason why I put in the split suggestion is because the MRT station and monorail station are separate from each other and not interchangeable, although it might be a 50m walk vice versa. Unlike Pasar Seni, (which I merged both MRT and LRT pages together) that is interchangeable and is in the same compound now, Bukit Bintang's stations are not. This merger of Bukit Bintang's station's articles (which I split up a few months back) will lead to people thinking that the monorail station and the MRT station are the same buildings, when they are not.

Please discuss! Fazley01 (talk) 14:30, 20 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, the monorail and the MRT stations should be separate articles. They are entirely separate stations, with separate naming rights awarded to two different entities. On the integrated transit map, they are shown as "connecting stations" and not "interchange stations", which mean changing lines requires exiting the paid area of one station and a new ticket must be bought to enter the other station.--14:16, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
I actually agree to the suggestion. The only reason why I added MRT info here is because the original MRT wikipage was gone and the person who deleted it didn't have the courtesy to transfer its contents to this page, so it was lost. I'd prefer for it to be split since both stations are not interchange to one another. To anyone who wants to do that, please transfer the MRT info to the new page. Since Derkommander0916 didn't respond to this topic; I decided to be "bold" and splitted the article by myself. This talk page is now the talk page for the MRT station only, and I've redirected the talk page for the monorail station here. Consensus: separated this article into two articles, Bukit Bintang monorail station and Bukit Bintang MRT station.  Done Fazley01 (talk) 05:41, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
