Founder baloney[edit]

The entire Mike Kelly & Sunny Dale shtick is pure baloney - the first settler in the Burien area was a French-Canadian named George Ouellet in 1864 (look at the U.S. Governemnt's GLORE database), and the "Gottlieb Von Boorien" spelling and tall tales about him, yada, yada, yada, also are just silly. Here is a single article published by the Highline Historical Society - an authoritative source - that nicely sets the record straight: Highline Historical Society, Gottlieb Burian .... Will someone please get this right? (These kinds of bogus facts are why Wikipedia gets such a bad rap. I would change it myself, but I don't want to get in an edit war with some "know-it-all.") — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.140.75.3 (talk) 02:12, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

33,977 or 46,022[edit]

The infobox says population 33,977 as of 2011. The end of Burien, Washington#Annexation says that after the annexation in 2010, the population was 46,022. Please resolve the contradiction. Art LaPella (talk) 22:23, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Art LaPella, Burien combined White Center and North Highline. Total 49,410 population in the City of Burien in 2012 Estimate. --Rossdegenstein (talk) 12:56, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
