Wikipedia says Burji dynasty is Circassian. Wikipedia says Barkuk found the Burji dynasty. Wikipedia also says Barkuk was a Balkar. Wikipedia says Balkars are a Turkic people of Caucausia. So, İf Burjis descended from Barkuk, Barkuk is a Balkar and Balkars are Turkic; how come Burji dynasty is Circassian???!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.97.43.129 (talk) 01:06, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Bayezid

[edit]

In section History it reads " Bayezid I then invaded Syria (in 1399)" . As far as I know Bayezid never invaded Syria. Any sources ? I'll call the editor.Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 08:41, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I removed Bayezid's invasion of Syria. Did a minor rewrite and added references. Thanks Nedim! --Kansas Bear (talk) 17:14, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Burji dynasty or The (Jercassian) Circassian State?

[edit]

Sources, references, and historical books that lived through the state of the Circassian sultans agree that its name was "the state of the Circassians", as it came in Arabic Wikipedia about the origin of the designation of the state:

Naming the Mamluk state or the Mamluk sultanate is a relatively recent historical designation invented by contemporary historians, and it was not known in the Mamluk era, but rather this state was known by different names in its time. Contemporary Arab references to the era of the Bahri Mamluks called this state the “state of the Turks” or “the Turkish state.” During the era of the Burji Mamluks, the state was called “the state of the Circassians.” or "the Circassian Sultanate State."

Suggest changing the name to "The Circassian Sultanare State" this would be historically accurate. Pshmaf Komok (talk) 21:57, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
