non sequitur

[edit]

Quoth:"... the sheer amount of fired-clay rubble found within every house of a settlement indicates that a fire of enormous intensity would have raged through the entire community to have created the volume of material found."

Why can't the same amount be produced by individual houses burning at different times?

Table problem

[edit]

I've been trying to get the house burning table to work right, but it keeps making the area beneath it have the same background color as the table, and I can't figure out what to do... If anyone knows how to fix this so that the table still has a background color, I'd love to know... --Saukkomies talk 06:16, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks to Gary King for taking the time to fix that table! Gary is a true gent. --Saukkomies talk 01:42, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Expand to Neolithic house burning in general?

[edit]

As this article makes clear, house burning is found in all the Neolithic "Old Europe" cultures, but we don't have an article on the wider phenomenon. Might this article be turned into one, something like Neolithic house burning or House burning in Neolithic Europe? joe•roetc 08:34, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
