Introduction

[edit]

If memory serves, the excited introduction was by Claude Nobs (aka "Funky Claude" from "Smoke on the Water"). Anybody got a copy handy to check? HTH HAND —Phil | Talk 18:59, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not all of this was recorded in Berne

[edit]

Wiki user Erictheroadie added this information in 2021 saying that "Only one show was recorded on the tour. The Maison Rouge mobile came to Bern and everything was double-mic'd that night". This is not accurate. The "New Shoes Edition" boxset of "Heavy Horses" makes it clear that more than one show was recorded. Quoting Ian Anderson on page 25: "The Bursting Out album is made up of a compilation of stuff from Berne with the multi-track and some other shows in Europe. The 24-track recordings were mixed in the Maison Rouge mobile and the 8-tracks were done eslewhere. It was a big jump down to 8-track, but there were some good takes. I remember sitting at home with the TEAC and going through hours and hours of live shows picking the best tracks".--Zappafripp (talk) 21:25, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

track listing

[edit]

A section is "Track listing, original 2-CD edition" - it was originally on two LPs. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 20:47, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
