Issues[edit]

There is the basis for a nice article here, but there are a couple of issues. At the moment, the article is more about the church than the village, so needs to be expanded. It needs more wikification with appropriate links and some general TLC. I will add it to my watch list. – ukexpat (talk) 14:23, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Gibb[edit]

Why is there nothing about The Gibb? Why is it so called? Thanks

The Gibb is in the Grittleton article because most of the hamlet is in that parish. I haven't found an explanation of the unusual name. --Wire723 (talk) 08:12, 19 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Burton is not a parish, neither civil nor ecclesiastical. Its boundaries are not well defined and occasionally are the subject of debate. The Gibb lies in three parishes, Nettton, Castle Combe and Grittleton.Alc59 (talk) 12:52, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
