Restored information on schools

[edit]

I restored the information about schools (in particular the Sankofa Academy) that had been previously removed. I added some information to the intro that explains why the school warrants mention (the building and land that Sankofa currently occupies was once the Washington Elementary school and shares a common history with the park, as well as being a rather large building that is definitely a landmark for the neighborhood.) I plan on expanding the article more soon, so if you notice improperly introduced material or anything else that needs improvement, please let me know rather than removing it. Thanks! --Sapphic (talk) 23:42, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I am researching the information found at some of the following links, for inclusion in the article:

Financial irregularities involving a grant to the park:
Individually researched park history:
Photograph:
Oakland Raiders practicing in Bushrod Park in the 1960s:
Other:

If anybody wants to get to this before I do, please feel free. --Sapphic (talk) 19:43, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi All, Overall a good article. It could be improved by updating the demographic information which has changed quite a bit and adding a link to Phat Beetz and Dover Park, which are both in the Bushrod neighborhood. Also, it's just called "Bushrod" - "Bushrod Park" usually just refers to the actual park. ThanksMcnelson510 (talk) 05:42, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
