Sister cities

[edit]

I know that Córdoba is a sister city of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. it is an important reference to be made! chiefly if it comes with the list of the others sisters cities. (HelenoBR) —Preceding signed but undated comment was added at 16:55, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cordoba is also sister city from Tampa (florida - U.S.) and Turin (Italy) amongs other cities. Please BELGRANO is the most important soccer team from Cordoba. BELGRANO must be first (not 3rd) in the list. Thank you. - —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.254.7.60 (talkcontribs)

This is wrong

[edit]

I don't know very well how to edit, this is the first time i write here, but I discovered the textline:

"|image_caption = from top to bottom: Panoramic view from Rosario coast, Argentine Flag Memorial, The Rosario-Victoria Bridge, and Rosario Centre District.", under the main picture of the city, corresponds to the landmarks in Rosario, Argentina's 3rd city, and not to Cordoba. What is seen in the picture is not what this text reads, but i don't know what it is. If someone knows how to fix this please do it.

Metropolitan area table

[edit]

I have just found a mistake in the table named "Cordoba Metropolitan area". The image above (I'm the author of this map) is showing the city and not the entirely "Metropolitan area". Please take a look at this issue. The boundries of the city are the same as the image resolution. Thanks, sorry for my bad english. --Leandroidecba (talk) 00:46, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Everything is bad in this article, the area (size), the population (in addition isn't "estimated" because in 2008 the province made a census and the population IS 1.308.536) and most comments are wrong. Alakasam (talk) 19:14, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Alakasam, if you notice that the article has wrong statements or numbers you are free to correct them. I have taken my time to make a full clean up to the article by translating, creating and adding templates so don't downgrade my contributions by stating everything is bad in this article, once again if you see main mistakes feel free to correct them.

Fiat in Cordoba

[edit]

Does anyone know when Fiat started to produce passenger cars in Cordoba, please? I have a note that the first Argentinian Fiats were built in Caseros in 1960 (Fiat 600) but I have another source which states that in 1978 Fiat 128s were being produced in Cordoba. If that's right, someone must have built a Fiat car plant in Cordoba (or converted a Fiat tractor plant in Cordoba to make cars?) It would be interesting to know when between 1960 and 1978, that happened. Thank you for any information on this (I'm trying to persuade someone - anyone - to expand a little para on Fiat in Argentina in the english language wiki-entry on Fiat.) Population

[edit]

The population should be revised. In the article, the population of the city is mentioned 3 with different amount of people. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.142.32.173 (talk) 21:22, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

original inhabitants of the area that is now The City of Cordoba

[edit]

There is no info at all about the "native people", who inhabited the region that is now "The City of Cordoba". A glaring omission. Can anyone provide info about the original peoples who resided here ? What happened to these people after the Spaniards arrived ? Where are these people now. What were/the cultural practices & language of these people. How (if at all) have these got merged with modern Cordoba. It is prposterous to presume that any human settlement (eg Cordoba) can have a history that is only 300 to 400 years old. Can anyone obtain this info & add it to wikipedia ? 59.183.41.31 (talk) 04:59, 18 June 2010 (UTC) bhalachandra-Mumbai India[reply]

These were the native people: Comechingón
Maybe someone could add a link to that article (sorry, I'm a Wikipedia noob) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.252.190.144 (talk) 21:33, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ethnicity

[edit]

As say in the article, The majority of European inmigrants in Cordoba were from Italy and came to live to Cordoba City, but I want to note that most of the Italian people that came to the province of Cordoba especially, went to work in agriculture and live in colonies and cities of the province. They came from the north, Piedmont, Friuli-Venezia Giulia,Lombards, Ligurs, i.e : San francisco, Villa Maria , Rio Cuarto, bell Ville, Leones, Jesus Maria-Colonia Caroya, Luque Most of the towns and cities have more than 60 % italian ancestors.- Andrès Càmpora -Cordoba-Argentina — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.138.186.108 (talk) 07:15, 26 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Impenetrable language

[edit]

Much of the history section appears to have been translated from Spanish by someone who is not a native English speaker. Large sections (including whole paragraphs) are meaningless, and it is difficult to ascertain what exactly was meant by the writer. Is there anyone who is both a native English speaker, and has a good knowledge of Córdoba's history, who can clean up this section? A few citations wouldn't go amiss as well! Urban Legends

[edit]

Currently, the article is subjected to unsourced additions of content (only a blog and a self-published document on Scribd supports the claim as Largoplazo noted) that is related to the urban legends of the city in Argentina.

@Sofía.Noelia.Galván, @The one who survived, @Facundoarieltello and @45.178.193.97, can you all find other reliable sources that can help support your claims? 🔥YesI'mOnFire🔥(ContainThisEmber?) 14:35, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
