Although CDJ-100s were meant for bedroom DJs , they paved the way for the introduction by Pioneer Corporation of their industry-standard, professional CD deck, the CDJ-1000.

Ok, I'd be interested in knowing what BS this is? Pioneer had already won the race at the point when they released CDJ-100S; the CDJ-500 with it's two incarnations were already the de-facto standard for CD-players in the DJ-booths at that time (and had pretty much been since their introduction on the market four years earlier).
