Hairloss
[edit]I got dostinex (cabergoline) in the UK. Here it lists hairloss/thining as a possible side effect. Could you confirm this? If so is the case, this entry on cabergoline should be updated. (unsigned comment)
- I started cabergoline in May of 2012, and experienced some hair loss that only lasted for a week or two after the dose was increased to 0.5mg daily. (I'm on it for restless leg syndrome, but I also have a pituitary adenoma and acromegaly with prolactin involvement.) If you have a citable source for the hair loss side effect, please include the source and side effect in the article. Thanks! --Dulcimerist (talk) 23:46, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
Hi, I note on the Dostinex Cabergoline information leaflet that it also mentions increased risk of compulsive gambling, abnormal thoughts and increased sex drive. Should this not be mentioned on the Wiki page? I have also read newspaper articles about the effects of cabergoline on patients, e.g.: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1334049/Pete-Shepherd-Cabergoline-effects-turned-sex-crazed-transvestite.html Many thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.60.94.241 (talk) 10:50, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
Dosage - Restless Leg Syndrome
[edit]Usual dosage for Restless Leg Syndrome isn't listed in the "Dosage" section. Sources I've dug up say it's a minimum daily dose of 0.5mg, up to a daily dose of 2mg - using the lowest possible amount to reduce symptoms. Should I just make the edit, or wait for feedback or additional sources? --Dulcimerist (talk) 23:13, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
