I am concerned...[edit]

Template:Jose Silva Cabinet 2016 is being transcluded here in a highly non-stardard way. I made the same mistake, about ten years ago. Templates are best used for things that are clearly being transcluded in multiple places.

When we transclude ordinary editorial content, it is highly confusing. Those who want to edit that editorial content don't know where to find it. It took me a while to find the actual location of the editorial content, even though I messed with this technique a decade ago.

Currently, the template is only used in this one article. Again, not how templates are normally used. Geo Swan (talk) 21:34, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I can't find an actual guideline about not creating templates which will only be used once. However, it does look as if this content might better be added directly to the article. Should we merge the pages? Certes (talk) 22:43, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Number of ministries?[edit]

Currently, the article implies that the names and responsibilities of the 12 ministries of 2016 are fixed. I think the US cabinet has a fairly inflexible set of cabinet departments. Other nations, like Canada, for instance, have highly flexible cabinets. In Canada major portfolios are combined, or split; have their names and responsibilities changed, all the time. And the ministers of major portfolios are surrounded by junior ministers of state, whose ministries come and go.

I'd be happy to learn that the Cape Verde ministry structure is inflexible, like the USA. But let's not leap to that assumption. Geo Swan (talk) 21:53, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
