Untitled[edit]

Flickr has tons and tons of freely-licensed photos of the railway, and I feel like there's better photos there than most of those in this article (i.e. already on Wikipedia). Anyone mind if I do some replacing, and is there any you specifically want kept? The Drover's Wife (talk) 09:00, 9 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Fine with me, but note there are two articles Kuranda Scenic Railway and this article. This situation arises when there's an important current use of a QHR property that doesn't entirely co-exist well with the the history/engineering focus of the QHR content. In this case, the Kuranda Scenic Railway is a very popular tourist service that operates on the infrastructure described in this article. Rather than try to force them to co-exist in a single article, I keep them separate for the probably distinct community of readers (with cross linking, of course). The photos of Flickr seem to more applicable to the tourist experience. For this article, the need is more pictures of the infrastructure and historical photos (but I do like it when I can find a historic and contemporary "pair" of the same subject, ideally from a similar viewpoint). error on map[edit]

The "map of the railway" has mis-spelt Surprise Waterfall as "Supprise". I've no idea how to correct it - anyone? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:8003:1405:3F00:AD1D:5394:A144:3809 (talk) 06:51, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
