Sleeping Warrior

Caisteal Abhail is commonly known in Scotland as "The Sleeping Warrior" - see [1]. Some other web-sites state that it is Goat Fell or Beinn Tarsuinn and Beinn Nuis that are know thus, but they're wrong. Camillus (talk) 21:30, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hardly. The are a variety of interpretations on websites but Collins Encyclopaedia of Scotland is correct in stating that it the phrase refers to "the profile of the 'Sleeping Warrior' of Arran as seen from the Clyde Coast". It isn't any particular hill, none of which individually resemble a human figure. Ben MacDui 11:49, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
