1972 birthdate?![edit]

It doesn't make sense for Caitlin's birth year to be 1972. By that standard, she should have started kindergarten in 1977, and finished Grade 8 in 1986, two years before she started Grade 7 in the first season of "Degrassi Junior High". Caitlin's birth year should be 1976, so that she is 12 years old when she starts Grade 7 - most Grade 7s are 11 or 12 until the end of December when they are all 12.

If Caitlin was born in 1972, and if we accept the canon of Emma Nelson (Spike's daughter) being born in 1989, the year Caitlin moved from Grade 7 to 8, then she would have been 16 on starting Grade 7, and 17 on starting Grade 8! As the daughter of schoolteachers/principals, it doesn't wash. I suggest that 1972 is a gross error on some scriptwriter's part! GBC (talk) 15:53, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree! It makes no sense! It should be re-adjusted to at least 1974! Dude00007, Ph. D., Sc. D. (talk) 20:28, 17 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
