Expenditures

[edit]

What are Calgary Transit expenditures? this site gives revenue as $90,300,000 but doesn't seem to know expenditures. Isn't the budget published somewhere? Which should include how much money comes from where (tickets, subsidies) and where it goes (operations, expansion etc)? TastyCakes (talk) 16:21, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Historical nuggets, someone in Calgary with access to newspaper archives could research these maybe?

[edit]

These could use some actual research, but there are a couple of news stories I remember as a kid growing up in Calgary. One was a homemade bomb in a lunchbox that destroyed the lost & found hut when it detonated early one morning (nobody on site, no injuries).

The other was an alleged embezzlement scandal where someone supposedly had farebox keys and was ripping off coins, lowering grasshoppers on a string into fareboxes (!!!) to swipe coins, and other weird stuff. In the end, as I recall, nobody was convicted.

Both of these were sometime between 1965 and 1969, but I don't have any more info. For awhile, the Calgary police department had an exhibit showing the lunchbox bomb. —Preceding unsigned comment added by OrbitalBundle (talkcontribs) 01:08, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Calgary Transit Public Safety and Enforcement Section

[edit]

Calgary Transit Public Safety and Enforcement Section should be merged back to here. However it is poorly sourced and has been since 2011.

I will redirect to Calgary Transit in due course otherwise. Ajf773 (talk) 00:43, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
