In linking another article, I discovered considerable overlap between Mixed coniferous forest (which, despite its title, is entirely about the Sierra Nevada) and this article. I think it would be beneficial to merge it into this article. Miniapolis 20:31, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose mergeMixed coniferous forest ecoregions/plant communities are found outside of California in North America, including in the Southwestern United States plateaus and uplands, and the Central and Southern Rocky Mountains.
The "California mixed evergreen forest" ecoregion specifically represents mixed coniferous forest sub-ecoregions/plant communities within California and the California Floristic Province, including those located in the Sierra Nevada of eastern California, and in the Transverse Ranges and Peninsular Ranges of southern California.
As editor Miniapolis points out here, the article's text does not represent western North America yet. However, external links for non-Californian mixed coniferous forests have been added. — Look2See1 t a l k → 23:40, 18 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
