Surname[edit]

Following this article's move today, I thought I'd start a discussion. The character's WP:COMMONNAME is Jones and all of his major storylines have occurred under this name. He has only recently changed it to Rebecchi. I've broken out the hits box to compare the names:

Callum Jones → Callum Rebecchi – Previous move in late 2012 was very premature, but the character has now been known as Rebecchi for considerably longer than Jones, and as the former is also the surname of all his close family members in the soap it is a far more recognisable and natural term for people to search for. Lead already uses Rebecchi as his primary name, oddly, and recent reports of the character's return appearance use the Rebecchi surname exclusively, e.g. [8] [9]. Comment Nice to see a discussion opened first. I thought about this when Sonya was moved, but this one is a little trickier. His surname changed to Rebecchi in 2012, but I believe Jones was still his WP:COMMONNAME upon his departure in 2014. He has more credited appearances as Jones, and Google hits have more results for "Callum Jones Neighbours". I'll think about it a little more. - JuneGloom07 Talk 23:03, 25 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Support While acknowledging the point of Google hits, I think Rebecchi is important as his surname gives context to his family - Sonya and Toadie both share the same surname and it would make sense for Callum to as well. SatDis (talk) 11:16, 1 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
