Cite template[edit]

One of the requirements in citation is that you have to have read the source that you are citing, so can I suggest that this ref:

  • "Camp Paxson Has Experienced Ups, Down". The Missoulian. 1965. Retrieved May 27, 2012.

might actually be a cite web, if you only read the online source, not the original Missoulian newspaper article from 1965? If that is so, then perhaps something like:

  • Chaffin, Mildred (1965). "Camp Paxson Has Experienced Ups, Down". My Forty Years Scribblin's. Retrieved May 27, 2012. - originally written in 1965 and published as a feature article in The Missoulian newspaper

might be a better citation (assuming I've followed the links correctly). --RexxS (talk) 18:27, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Former camp[edit]

From the article and links, this appears to be a former Scout camp, thus the Scout camp category is no longer appropriate. ---— Gadget850 (Ed) talk 11:20, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know about scout camps, but a dead composer is still in cat:composers, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:39, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Do composers get repurposed after death? Paxson was a Scout camp from 1924 to 1942— that is 18 years, and it is now 64 years later. ---— Gadget850 (Ed) talk 13:35, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It's still a major scout connection. Where' it say the cat is only for active ones? Want to remove the ScoutingProject banner too?PumpkinSky talk 15:32, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not to mention it has Boy Scout in the NRHP title.PumpkinSky talk 15:33, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Was going to propose a new category, as there are at least two other former camps not in the category, but I am abandoning this line and taking the article off my watchlist. ---— Gadget850 (Ed) talk 16:16, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Composers do get repurposed after death, but I've never seen one moved into the category "decomposers". (Couldn't resist.) --RexxS (talk) 18:04, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
We can make a new cat if you want, probably the best solution.PumpkinSky talk 20:35, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
