British American Bank Note Company

[edit]

Was this the same company in an earlier incarnation?

No, they were competitors. BA Banknote became BA International, Inc. (under the ownership of Giesecke & Devrient) then was downsized in 2011 after the introduction of polymer notes. See [1] and [2]. Sometime between April 2012 and May 2014 CBNC acquired the old BA plant at 975 Gladstone St, Ottawa, as per the streetview history. We could use an article about BABN if someone wants to write it.
