Validity[edit]

There are a few banks on the list that did emit banknotes but were never chartered. The Banque du Peuple and Hart's Bank, for example, were never able to secure a Charter. Be very careful when using this page. It would need to have more explicit sources, or be renamed to something like "Canadian banks of emission".--Melt core (talk) 08:12, 21 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
